# ideas

Life is extremely rare. Your beautiful soul was given one chance to experience this world, create things and give back. The idea of spending your life studying for pointless exams, applying for jobs & min-maxxing your bank account until you die should haunt you. STOP IT. Find something you enjoy doing, save a little bit of money & go for it. The money will come back.
Here are some ideas that I think would be really fun to work on. Please steal them:
1. VR headsets are going to get cheaper & better. If you like making games, movies or youtube videos & you believe everyone will own a VR headset (instead of a TV or a monitor) in the next 10 years - start making those movies and games now, you are very very early, pave the way.
2. A cute lego like kit, to setup a Bitcoin node in your house. If you have a pretty dashboard & cute hardware, I would love to buy one (I think hobbyists would love it). Also, you can setup ways for companies (like Coinbase) to gift their employees this kit. I think it could be a fun project to work on and a net positive for Bitcoin.
3. Train an image model that, from a single screenshot, classifies a webpage’s sections and common patterns like navbars, sidebars, product cards, tables, forms, comments, footers, ads etc. With clean section labels and bounding boxes, you can run targeted OCR (only where text actually lives), skip junk, and index pages faster and cheaper. You can significantly decrease the compute costs for some of the AI web search tool calls and sell your software to web indexing companies.
4. I recently learnt (through a friend) that even large sports betting companies, struggle to accurately predict the LTV of a player based on their history. If you are into math, and helping gambling websites make more money doesn't break your moral compass - you should build an analytics engine that takes in details from the Google ad campaigns, the player's wallet history and game history and build models to predict a players LTV & sell your services to gambling websites.
5. Build vertical farms, if you country has cheap electricity. I did a bunch of reading about this a few months ago, the yields are a lot more consistent than I thought (standard small vertical farms have 6-7% yield). But, this goes up to 15% at scale and when optimized. If done well, you can print more money consistently.
6. A hardware device that helps developing countries clean their roads at scale. A truck with a massive vacuum cleaner or a industry grade Roomba that works on uneven surfaces / sidewalks would be life changing to millions of people and would be extremely profitable if done correctly.
7. An app that listens to you in the morning, organizes your day / sets up reminders for you. And at the end of the week gives you a Spotify recap but for your week. Also, the app stores a recording and summary of the transcription locally on device like a journal. I would pay $5/month for this, if done well and tastefully built. October is a good time to build, because this is a great sell for new years.
